14 Ways You Can Make Even More Money

Posted on January 13, 2015 by Daniel at 6:31 am

Almost everybody wants to make more money than they currently do. However, many people don’t want to find a new job or ask for an increase on their salary. There are plenty of other things that can be done to boost your income; just take a look at the following 14 and see if any sound good to you!

  1. Do Paid Online Surveys

On certain websites, you can get paid for doing surveys. How much you get paid depends on the survey and the subject, but you could get paid up to $3 for just one! If you make a habit of doing these when you have some free time, you could end up with more spare cash in your bank than ever.

  1. Start Blogging

Blogging can be a great way to make money and get free stuff, but that isn’t the reason you should start one. If you love writing and have a passion for a particular subject, blogging could be a nice hobby to try. If you then get free stuff and money once you’ve established yourself, that’s a bonus! You can make money from people wanting to guest post on your site, affiliate programs, and more.

  1. Offer to Do Overtime

At your current job, have you made it clear that you’d be willing to do overtime if needed? In some jobs this isn’t possible, but in others you may be able to put yourself forward for more hours than you’re doing now.

  1. Sell Stuff You Don’t Want

Take a look around, and I bet you’ll find a ton of stuff you don’t want but don’t know what to do with. Giving it away to charity or a friend is always an option, but of course that won’t get you any more money! If the stuff you have to sell is in good condition and you think others might be interested in it, there are a number of sites you can use to sell it. eBay is good for selling all kinds of items, while an online store like Depop is good for fashion. Make sure you’re realistic with the price you expect to get and you could make a fair bit of extra cash!

  1. Start Your Own Business on the Side

Do you have a particular skill or talent you think you could make extra money out of? Why not start your own business on the side? You could make jewellery, teach guitar, or even tutor language students. Write down your skills and see what you could do with them.

  1. Get a Part Time Job

If you aren’t doing all that many hours in your current job, you could always apply for a part time job somewhere else. While some people don’t think holding down two jobs is ideal, others love it! You get variety, and in some cases benefits from both jobs, such as discounts on products. Many Dillards stores are hiring, so you could start there and then explore elsewhere. In many cases, it’s easy to apply too!

  1. Write an Ebook

Do you know a lot about a particular subject? Maybe you’re a fitness guru, or you overcame your battle with acne. Write an Ebook about it! You can bet there are people out there dying to know what you know. Take your time to write an Ebook that contains all of the information, publish it on the Kindle store, and then promote it.

  1. Be an Extra

Ever wondered what it’s like to be an extra in the background of one of your favourite shows? You could do it yourself! The pay isn’t bad, and you don’t have to do much other than act natural in the background of a shot.

  1. Rent Out a Spare Room

If you have a room in your home that you aren’t currently using, you could rent it out. Some people do this with a friend or relative, while others do it with a total stranger. Either way, they get help towards the bills and mortgage, and a little spare cash in their pocket too.

  1. Rent Out a Parking Space

If you live in a busy area where parking can be a problem, you could rent out a parking space. Simply advertise your space and people who come to your area could contact you and book it out. You could make a bit of pocket money for one month’s renting, but some people make a hefty wedge on the side in busier areas!

  1. Do a Carboot Sale

Carboot and jumble sales are just like selling online, except this way you get cash in your hand. People can also see your stuff in person, so they may be more inclined to offer you a great price if it’s good. Just beware of people who want something for nothing!

  1. Recycle

Recycling not only helps the environment, it can get you a little extra cash too. You can recycle your old clothes, electricals, and even CDs/DVDs for a little extra cash. This is a great idea if nobody is interested in buying them, or you just can’t be bothered with the hassle.

  1. Review Music

Love music? You could make a bit of pocket money reviewing songs! The more detailed the reviews, the more money you can potentially earn. The same goes if you’re a more experienced reviewer too.

  1. Become a Mystery Shopper

Mystery shopping involves going into restaurants and other stores to report back of the service you received. You must keep what you’re doing to yourself, and go about your business as you would normally. You then get paid for reporting about your experience! You will even get your expenses paid, for example, your drinks and food.

Not only can you make even more money with the above 14 suggestions, you can have fun with many of them too! You could probably do more than one of those listed here too, so you can seriously enhance your income stream. See you next time!
