Is It Worth Insuring A Laptop?

Buying anything these days requires a good deal of investigation. There is just so much choice, no matter what you are buying, and with the internet at almost everyone’s fingertips, there’s so much information at hand. If you give yourself a little bit of time and research properly, there’s no excuse not to make the right purchase every time, and this applies massively to laptops. If you’re steering away from an Apple purchase, then there is a huge amount of choice out there. There are hundreds of laptops which use Windows as an operating system and the choice can be overwhelming at times, so you have to be careful. Of course, most people put plenty of time and effort into their decision, but it’s surprising how often people spend good time on their selection without giving a second thought to protecting their precious purchases.

Do You Go For Insurance?

Aftercare is an important aspect of a laptop purchase. Firstly, they do go wrong form time to time and can be expensive to fix. Secondly, they can also be fragile, which leads us on to the issue of warranties. Most laptops will come with some sort of warranty, and you can normally buy an extension to that warranty. So far so good, but you have to remember that an insurance policy will generally protect you in many more ways than a warranty will. If you’re confident that the only problem you are likely to have is a problem with the performance of the machine, that’s fine, but insurance covers you against this as well as so many other things.

What Is A Warranty Good For?

A warranty is not going to do much if you knock your laptop off your living room table and the screen cracks. A warranty is pretty useless if you manage to leave your laptop on the train station platform. A warranty is about as useful as a chocolate fireguard if your toddler spills a beaker full of steaming milk all over the keypad! In short, insurance for a laptop is going to cover you for all eventualities, and of course you will have a warranty for the first year anyway!

Insurance All the Way!

If you decide to go down the insurance route, you obviously need to make sure you opt for the right policy. If you search for Protect Your Bubble gadget insurance you should find not only a great price but solid cover too. You’re talking about insurance from as little as £2.49 – a price worth it for the peace of mind alone. When you consider that around 250,000 laptops are stolen in the UK every year, it suddenly seems very sensible to insure!

When you look at the cost of laptops these days, you would have to be mad not to insure. There’s no doubt that there are some excellent products out there, but they all cost money, and you are going to be severely out of pocket if you have a problem. The only answer is to insure, and thankfully, it shouldn’t cost you too much money.
