2 Examples of When You Can’t Let Finances Be the Reason You Don’t

Posted on October 4, 2016 by Daniel at 8:41 am

Finances, or lack thereof, are the number one reason that people don’t do things in life. They say that it’s the people in life who have money who are able to make money. There is a perpetual cycle with this. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule and people are trying desperately to change this cycle, but for the most part, this is how the world operates.

The universities that get people the connections they need to get places in life are attended largely by the people who were able to obtain the finances to get in in the first place. The people who weren’t born into the money work their lives away paying off the education that shouldn’t have cost them 40 thousand dollars a year in first place.

The world is kind of a mess. People who were born to achieve great things often let finances be the reason they don’t act on their dreams or things they need. That needs to stop. Here are 2 examples of when you can’t let finances be the reason you don’t:

When the Expenditure Will Change Somebody’s Life

People spend money for stupid reasons. Go to any golf club in the world and watch the rate at which the wealthiest people in the world are spending and what they’re spending their money on and it’s enough to sicken you. However, you can’t let the way other people live their lives affect you.

There are people out there who were born deaf or blind. There are people who go to war and get limbs blown off. If your spending of money goes towards helping a child hear for the first time or giving yourself or somebody else the ability to walk, there is no reason to not go the extra mile, even if it’s costly on your pocketbook. There is no price tag that isn’t worth changing somebody’s life for.

When It Legitimately Makes You A Better Person

Despite the fact that colleges are too expensive and the price of education should never be more than somebody can pay, if education is just what you need to become a better version of yourself so that you can positively affect the world, don’t let the expensive price tag be the reason you don’t go for it. There are ways around the money. Apply for a loan if you have to, but work hard to obtain scholarships and support.

In the same way, if you come to the point in life where you need help with a particular problem you’re having, maybe it’s reliance on substances, or maybe it’s counseling for a terrible event in your life, know that you’re worth the cost. If spending the money in this vein legitimately makes you a better person, don’t feel guilty about it; just be realistic with yourself.
